I would find myself in Newry on a regular basis and off the back of a recommendation, I found this comfy and spacious apartment back in June. What a find it was too.
This is my new ‘go to’ place. Seamus, the host, is a very pleasant and helpful guy. My ferry was delayed and I arrived late. He didn’t bat an eye, he was there to welcome me, show me around and there was a very welcome bottle of wine in the fridge. I left a shirt and a pair of trainers behind, and he e-mailed me to say he would post them on which he did.
This place is immaculate and the king size bed is really comfy.
I could be in Belfast or Dublin in less than an hour and Newry town centre in 2 minutes.
Parking is in a private little courtyard and the place is 2 mins walk to a well stocked shop and off sales.
The apartment has a well-equipped kitchen which was ideal during lockdown to make a spot of breakfast but that said, there are plenty of eating places round about. (Recommend the Golf Club for dinner and Murphys for pub grub, obviously they both do Guinness.)
This is a great base for work if you need peace and quiet but work aside, there was plenty to fill my time away from home, Killeavy Castle, Dundalk. Carlingford, Newcastle or for a fantastic walk Slieve Gullion or the Mourne Mountains.
I look forward to staying here again.

I booked this self catering apartment in Newry and on arrival there was coffee, tea and milk and a welcome food pack awaiting me. The host was really friendly and everything about the apartment was really high standard. The whole house was geared to be wheelchair friendly and a lot of thought went into its design. The furnishings and décor were tasteful and comfortable. Wi-Fi was excellent and there was a supermarket and chippy, pizza shop and hairdressers all within 5 minutes walking distance. All Good. Highly recommended.

I have only praise for this new holiday let in South Armagh. Beautifully presented in a contemporary, but welcoming, way, it has the decor of a superior hotel. The external view from the patio garden is magnificent, principally that of the idyllic 350 acres of surrounding farmland and woodland in the stunning Ring of Guillon. You are a short drive to Newry (5 mins.) - a bustling market town, Armagh, Belfast, the East Coast with all its beauty right up to Ballycastle and south to Warrenpoint then easily crossing over to Southern Ireland and down to Dublin for a day out. All wants are covered - busy when you want to be and relaxing when you need the downtime. The Slieve Gullion and other peaks rise high above the rolling countryside, providing dramatic views and fantastic walks, all as far as the eye can see. The local hostelries are numerous and right on your doorstep. There is an upmarket, good-sized supermarket/deli a short drive/walk away and very reasonably priced. The property itself is spacious with a large living, dining and kitchen area, specifically designed to make the most of each zone and finished to the highest level with a beautiful plasma TV screen offering a large package of TV options. The settee is a luxury sofa bed with an excellent and superior mattress allowing it to be used as a good second double bed. The bedroom itself is bright, fresh and airy making it a good double with excellent storage. Off the bedroom, but accessible also from the hallway in case of sofa bed use, is a stunning shower-room, designed and installed with a definite 'wow' factor. I normally would choose a bath over a shower, but not in this case! The enclosed hallway external to the bathroom offered more storage for say bikes, a buggy etc. The property in all areas has great light, very efficient in the way of heating and airy when needed, so can be used all seasons. It is bright and beautiful, very clean and fresh. The furnishings are top end reflecting the attention to detail by the owner, Seamus. He lives in an adjoining property and there is nothing that is too much trouble. He leaves some lovely touches for your arrival, which make you feel very welcome. He also does allow you space, respecting your privacy. Having Seamus nearby you do feel very secure, which is a big bonus. The property is very animal friendly specifically with smaller dogs in mind. The whole experience will recharge your batteries and it is guaranteed you will leave reluctantly and want to return again and again. I came away rested, relaxed and determined to return asap and cannot recommend the property more highly!
Exceeded Expectations .

Like a new build everything was fresh and airy. The whole house was geared to be wheelchair friendly throughout. A lot of thought went into the house. Wi Fi was really good. We could not fault one thing,

We stayed with Seamus for 28 nights in what was our first Airbnb experience. We were not disappointed at all. This is a wonderful place and Seamus is a super host. From check in the apartment was exceptionally clean and had everything you could need. We have 2 kids who enjoyed the stay a lot and had great fun in the playground across the road.
Location is great and close to plenty of shops and restaurants.
Highly recommended.

Seamus excellent host. Great apartment, spotless. Fitted out with the highest quality appliances and furnishings. A 65" TV with all the apps no need for glasses. Good view of the mountains from seating area and the sun until late evening. All the shop's a short walk and enjoyed day trips to omeath carlingford slieve gullion and Newry shopping centre.

Seamus was a fantastic host, small details such as having a few items in the fridge on arrival as well as a fully functioning smart TV with fire stick and sky sports really gave the place something special. Would 100% stay here again for future trips to Northern Ireland. Sam. London. Aug 21. (Booking.com)
A Place to come back to.
I was back in Northern Ireland with my parents for my dads 90th and I had spoke about this spot and how much i liked it. I took my family and they were as impressed as me. Seamus is a first class host and when he heard it was my dads birthday , well , it was like a long awaited home coming . So back to the apartment , both my parents have reduced mobility and the set up and layout combined with the immaculate decor, i think we will all be back.
Great spot..

A fantastic find! Seamus is a brilliant host and went above and beyond for us during our stay. Accommodation has everything you could need during your stay. It was even stocked with all the essentials for a comfortable stay which was a very pleasant surprise upon arrival. It’s in a great location for exploring the area and within walking distance of a supermarket and takeaway. We will definitely stay here again if in the area. 10/10
Heather. Oxford. Oct 21. (Booking.com)
This accommodation was superb. Immaculately clean and very cosy. Seamus had gone over and above expectations to provide extras such as milk in the fridge for when we arrived. The location was great; peaceful and quiet with a play area very near and shop/filling station/cafe and pizza takeaway less than 5 minute walk. It’s a short drive into Newry and plenty to do in the surrounding area with beautiful countryside all round. Seamus was very friendly and helpful. Could not fault our stay here!

Stunning Cosy Apartment . Great facilities. Peaceful area. Great value. Seamus the owner was very kind . The property is stunning and was very cosy. All the facilities were fabulous. The huge combined living room and fully equipped kitchen was very well laid out and the 65in Smart TV was impressive. Very peaceful area and very close to the local Supermarket and Pizza Takeaway. Also close to Newry Town Centre. Lovely views of the local mountains and surrounding countryside. I felt very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay at Seamus's property. It was all fantastic.

Our stay was wonderful. The property and location were second to none. On booking our host (Seamus) contacted me by mobile and introduced himself. He met us with the property keys, showed us round the property, smiles on arrival. The property is in excellent condition. Very comfortable. Our stay was really excellent and there was nothing we could complain about. We will return.
George. July 22. (Booking.com)
There are not enough superlatives to describe how wonderful a stay we had. I'll try. Outstanding, friendly host who will be around or not as you prefer. He is very quick to answer questions and offer help but is unobtrusive otherwise. The unit stands as a single family attached so there is total privacy. The unit is well equipped for cooking, watching TV on the huge smart TV, relaxing on the couch or a recliner chair or sitting outside with a coffee or a pint. We have slept on hundreds of Airbnb beds and this large bed is tops. The shower is huge and you have every amenity you might need plus a number of extras you will love. Location is excellent for driving all around Northern Ireland and down to the Republic Of Ireland. 10/10.
